Borussia Dortmund (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Poor first 10 mins. Excellent after that until Dortmund brought fresh legs on at around 70 mins and from then we looked leggy. Improved again when we made subs but I really have no idea why Guardiola left it so long to make the changes. It was obvious that a few players were running on empty and we started making careless mistakes again. We had good options from the bench that we could use, so why make the subs earlier instead of letting them (slightly) back into the match?

Anyway, that grumble aside we were excellent until the 70 mins mark with some really good performances from the wingers and Foden in particular. Couple of assists for Reijnders too.

Only player that I though was below par today was Gvardiol. Some dodgy passing and loose control gave them a few chances.

I love the way we play now, it's much more entertaining than the tippy tappy stuff.

Absolute. The side now needs to work on doing what our old side could do, keep the ball in the fridge once we are two or three up. No need to be so open or take risks, just keep the ball, tire them out and more chances will come anyway.

How absurd it might seem and considering how well we played, I’m still not sure if we win that game with last season’s Ederson in goal. Donnarumma is just wow.

And this is meant to be a positive post.

Very good win v a team with only 1 defeat this season, 2-1 at Munich but concerning how we went from a very comfortable 3-0 to them almost getting back to 3-2 and a possible comeback

Excellent performance.

Foden is amongst the best in the world in those situations he scored from, if not the best. Great to see.

The attack looks terrific. 4 goals and Haaland scored just 1 :)
