Borussia Dortmund (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

The whole thing makes me cringe to be honest. Them goons stood at the front directing the singing, the twat thumping a drum.
Its all very ‘try hard’ isnt it
Reminds me of the basic electronic scoreboard they had at Oldham's Boundary Park in the 80's that showed a pair of hands clapping underneath the words 'Ooo Roger Palmer' - the crowd would then sing Ooo Roger Palmer.

I think we have found Kevin's natural successor in the central attacking rôle.

Phil had an off season last term, as did most of the squad, for reasons that have been discussed at length in other threads, but he looks, if not back to his best, then very close to it.

He’s 25 now, and he is ready to step up and take on the more senior position he holds within the squad.

He looks like a man, you know what I mean, Foden always looked like a kid in a man's game, but not anymore

Maybe that is what was wrong with him ? that past 12 months he struggle maybe was down to finding himself as a grown up, we all age at different stages in life and find it hard to understand when you find its time to grow up

Foden has been properly looked after and Pep was under pressure to play him at an early age, Well, where are the media moaners now, If England are ever going to win silverware 1000% Foden has to play in the team at the number 10 role

In defence of the first 10-15 minutes of the match that people are complaining about.
We weren't poor, Dortmund are a good team, they knew that was the time to press us and score but despite all their domination, they didn't hurt us. As a team we soaked it all up and then kicked on.
In defence of the period in the 2nd half where they came at us. We were looking to conserve energy for Sunday and it was only poor defending from Doku, he went to sleep and got a huge bollocking off Pep, that allowed them to score and gave them belief.
Agree with most of this but when that sloppy goal was conceded, I'm afraid I started to have Feyernoord flashbacks - especially with that fuck up at thd back that resulted in Gigi making 2 brilliant tackles - 3-2 then anc we and the players would have been hitting it

We're slowly purring aren't we, signs in these last two matches that we're finding a bit of previous seasons form, apart from last obviously. Phil needed those goals last night, now he has to kick on and put in more consistent performances.
My only concern from last night was how we panicked when they got one back, we were very poor after their goal. Huge test on Sunday now against cunts 2, we will see where we are after this game

I don't know what game you were watching Savinho wasn't good at all
Giving the ball away, not finding the players in box and hitting the first man all the time
Just being useless as a winger

Plus pointing out the Cherki comes on for less time that that clown deserves and scores and makes things happen

I don't know what I have said wrong as I think Cherki is more effective that Savinho. Due to everytime I watch Savinho he isn't effective at all and should of sold him in the summer when we had the chance.

Sorry
Savinho gave their defence a torrid time and beat his man repeatedly. It was his first good game since Huddersfield.

Savinho's first real mistake was over half an hour into the game and a bunch of fans who couldn't get behind the team threw their hands up in the air.
