Looks like I'm gonna have to eat my words cos id given up on Savinho weeks ago.
Pep keeps picking him,and that was a top team in the champions league so the trust from the manager is clear to see.
If im wrong about the player,I'll be delighted,as the signs are he's beating a man at wil,and going back to the villa game those two brilliant volleys in quick sucesssion suggest he can be an explosive finisher too.
I've always loved wingers going back to Peter Barnes at City...Are we going to see Sav come of age this season?

I’m just glad he put in a performance against Dortmund. Especially, following the very poor cameo from the bench against Bournemouth. He is a talented player but needs to deliver much more consistently.

The return of Cherki probably means Savinho and Bobb have to share game time that isn’t a bad thing based on what we’ve seen so far this season.

Savinho gave their defence a torrid time and beat his man repeatedly. It was his first good game since Huddersfield.

Savinho's first real mistake was over half an hour into the game and a bunch of fans who couldn't get behind the team threw their hands up in the air.

I think, if everyone is fit and it’s a ‘big game’ neither them nor Doku are starting.

I agree re. Bobb and Savinho. Doku showed on Sunday how he can move into the middle and add muscle, pace and technical ability. We will be a bit short of some of those qualities until Rodders is fully fit.

No, there's a section of City fans who are dug in on their opinion that Savinho is not good enough. When the lad makes a mistake the fans are much harsher with him than any other player.

This is nothing new, City fans have always loved a scapegoat to take their frustrations out on, Mahrez got this for years and ended up winning the fans over eventually.

The problem for them is that this player is hugely talented, just a matter of time before he puts it all together, and when he does they're going to look very silly.

The smart ones have already started rowing back, so kudos to them.
