I think Tevez should play alone up top, he had some good performances last season playing as a lone striker. and we can put silva behind him. also if somehow we can get robinho back id insert him in over AJ. dont know if AJ is ready week in week out to deliver. last season he was great but he often did go thru spells where he would do nothing.

a 4 2 3 1 with tevez up top silva behing and balotelli if we get him and robinho on the left with yaya and de jong holding. but well also have to solve the poor defending and stop giving up the soft goals.

Where as Robinho was a constant whirling dervish, a hub of creative activity!

and thats why i say u dont play AJ week in week out. and if someone is having a bad time like robi u can slot AJ in for a boost.

City obviously spelling his name wrong on his shirt, city never fail to amuse...

Stevie looked more up for it tonight than normally.

Jo proved he really isnt good enough..

This is always amusing. He scores our only goal, Adebayor mentally absent and totally anonymous throughout, and Jo takes the crap.

Also on the bright side, Richards looked solid I thought. Zab looked bad, Barry looked abominable, and Kolarov incredible. :D

Not a lot of difference between Jo & Ade IMO, not convinced by any of our strikers. Tevez is great at what he does but he's not the complete centre forward we need.

I agree. I feel we're missing a real out and out striker. One that puts the fear of God into other sides. Not sure Balotelli would be it either.

Going on last night we're also missing any real creativity and pace in the side. There was absolutely none. Midfield was poor and Barry the worst culprit of all. We haven't really shone at all pre-season.

Still best to get the crap performances out the way now and save the best for the league.......
