Just got Pep's line-up in:

--------------------------Walker------------------------

Garcia--------Dinho-----------Laporte--------Mendy

-------------------------Ake----------------------------

-------------Gundogan---------Rodri-----------------

FFS----------------------------------------------Sterling

-------------------------Aguero-------------------------

Rumours are the dressing room are completely bemused and think Pep must be lyong about it.

Think Torres is more likely to play than Mahrez.

No rest for anyone hopefully. It's a 2 leg tie and we need to not be under pressure in the 2nd leg.

This game will have Pep’s (and Khaldoon’s) 100% focus and concentration.

Best team & try to finish the tie in the first (away) leg, esp given they have no home advantage and this is their first time this deep into the CL.

Anything less than a 2 goal winning margin must be seen as a poor result, even though I’m sure they will be a well organized, difficult team to beat.

While Pep can SAY it’s the “next game” but not every “next game” is the CL, and with this run, which should have put the PL to bed, it is now time to switch focus on the REAL PRIZE for the ownership and management of the club.

Yes, another PL trophy would be outstanding and deserved, and losing a 10pt lead with only 13 games left and a vastly superior goal difference against all comers would mean losing FOUR MORE GAMES than eithe Utd or Leicester and even more than anyone else with a hope. Accordingly, from here the season is about winning this tie on Weds.

Never underestimate a German team in Europe. Or anywhere else. They love to be the underdogs.

They came through a group that was as difficult as the ones we used to get in our early CL years.

We never fare easy as favourites in the CL.

These are probably the main reasons why we should be aware and take nothing for granted in the knock out phases.

and them winning every game

It's often said "take one game at a time", but with the 3 hour flight and the Saturday morning fixture against an in form West Ham, who have no midweek fixture, I would give serious consideration to leaving some players behind to rest and prepare for West Ham? We risk injury to players if they are not sufficiently recovered.
