I think we've just seen the level that we need to perform at to compete in the CL (all the way to Istanbul?).
Initial high intensity followed by careful game management - yet still creating multiple chances.
Fantastic work rate from Foden and Bernado - they are almost selected as a pair when energy, pressing and dynamism is required. Certainly needed for the big games to also provide cover for our full-backs (or are they deep set midfielders).
Regarding Sterling - big concerns. At his game-changing best he's undropable. Currently, lacking some confidence and with a really poor first touch (compared to the rest of the boys on Tuesday), he's unpickable.
Normally I hate the idea of drawing an English club in a European competition, as it takes away any glamour, but if we can maintain that performance, I really don't care who we draw next. Bring it on!
