Bottled water

FDA...

So presumably doesn't apply to Australia or Europe then?
I remember watching a thing about America. Basically they have the same rules for tap water as they do for bottled water. The difference is that for tap water, they actually have the staff to enforce it, whereas for bottled water, no-one actually checks.

This was a good video about Dasani in the UK.

Personally, I buy mineral water once to get a nice glass bottle, then fill that up from the tap and keep it in the fridge from then. Although I recently moved house and had to buy it again, and noticed that most of even the premium brands have switched to plastic. Might have to get some bottles from Ikea next time.

Why didn't you take your bottle with you when you moved ?

Years ago, I knew a senior manager from Perrier. She confirmed to me that the benzene found (temporarily) in Perrier was not natural as they claimed but came from a leak at a refinery where there had been an accident.

Stella Artois? Who are you, Wayne Rooney?

Not a water drinker but the chlorinated smell that comes off the tap water is enough to put me off. Yes it's safe to drink but the water in the north west is shite compared to say Yorkshire.

I wouldn’t say it’s shite. We’ve got high quality water in the North West.

In all UU sample testing, we scale at 0% for all risk factors with only 2% failing smell tests and 3% taste tests.

We also have soft water here which is a plus compared to some places in the country.

I filter it with a Purina filter and always drink it.
