This is not “security,” it is target practice with someone’s head. The “threat” had long since been neutralized, if it ever really existed, but some wankers think some drunk taking a swing is a green light for a hospital visit and gbh.
Total over reaction REGARDLESS of what happened prior. With 8 people, it should have taken TWO of them, at most, to walk him away and tell him to keep moving. And, the one who is punching the fuck out of him while he is on the ground is a coward of the highest order.
No, this went so far beyond protecting the premises and other punters and quickly became “look at me and my mates smacking this helpless fucker for the sheer fun of it.” I think some of these guys go to work hoping they can smack someone around, because it certainly looked that way.
Had this been the POLICE doing this to a stone cold drunk, people would be screaming for a Home Office review, firings, and jail time. These twats have been given a license to STOP this kind of shit, not create it!

I reckon the moment the guy backs away from the cordon and gets pushed back in by “security” to extend the beating pretty much guarantees some prison time (in my non expert opinion).
