Bournemouth (A) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

I think it’s clear Pep wants to win one last time with ‘his team’ he will be playing Gundo, Kev and Bernardo in the semi. Nico will be left back. Excited for it, Forrest were pretty poor against Brighton and they are playing the champions.
Never realised the obvious until you stated it. Pep really wants Gundo, Kev and Bernardo to win this cup and then they will be gone. Possibly Pep too.

Whatever happened at half time we were a different team second half. We had control. We played in those tight triangles and we moved the ball side to side. We had passages of play and it was recognizable. A bit of fight too.

Oreilly and Grealish were brilliant when they came on.

Hahaha these cunts on ITV are seething. Good second half from everybody to be honest. O'Reilly set the tone, breakthrough performance from him, came on and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck seemed to inject energy into everyone else around him even Kev and Gundo seemed to get their legs back. Simply has to start on Wednesday.
Commentator ' That's a vicious challenge there by Gundogan- was barely a foul"
Dixon - penalty was a s'hame"
2nd half commentator screaming for Bournemouth free kicks.
3 things I noticed - farcical.

I’m struggling to understand this superhuman first half performance by Bournemouth as seen by some posters.
Looked like a classic city performance of the last few seasons, save for the balls up by Nunes.
Opposition run around in the first half like dervishes and yet create next to nothing. City have most of the ball and create some excellent chances. Second half kicks off and the dervishes are absolutely knackered. City score 2, should have got another 2, concede no shots on target and win at a cantor. Marvellous..

A few key points...

I thought we were brilliant. Not just in the second half, I thought we showed flashes in the first with some neat play in the middle and would have been ahead comfortably if we just took our chances. What did Bournemouth create in that first half apart from their goal? Nothing really. We made a slow start but despite the hysteria, Ederson wasn't required to make a single save. Overall, it should have been more comfortable - could easily have been 4/5.

The complaints about Kova, KDB and Gundogan in the middle - "too slow/too old/Pep picking favourites is costing us etc." - well they played 83 minutes and we won away against tough opposition... We'll just forget about all that, I guess?

And for the people saying Pep should walk in the Match Thread at half-time... Seven FA Cup semi-finals in a fucking row. The man can take us down to Division 8 for all I care.
Given 115 charges, he probably will.
