Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

The boys in blue didn’t give. They fought to the end. It just wasn’t to be today. Thank you City. Thank you lads. Thank you fans.
Will come back again next time. The season isn’t over.
Never forget, we are Manchester City the best team in the land and all the world.

We will show them all. We will be back strong and proud. :-)

We've been papering over the cracks for a few weeks, and today it caught up with us. It's the worst injury run I can recall under Pep, and unfortunately it's burnt out some of the remaining players.

Nevertheless when I look at the table, second place is pretty good all things considered. Once we get a few players back we'll still be a big threat.

Defeat today
Draws against Arsenal and Newcastle

Struggling wins against Brentford Fulham Wolves Southampton

Went behind against Ipswich ans West Ham which did end up as decent wins.

Signs of regression have been there, some didn't want to see. Finally catching up.

A team with clinical and fast winger will destroy team on current form.

And saw Ake and then Akanji limping too, tough times.

Need players back and pep has to trust academy. Not giving them minutes will burn remaining players

2-1 flatters us massively. I wouldn't have said it was unfair had we lost that 4-0.

Took us until the 85th minute to decide we should probably at least try and score a goal, Nunes being the only exception.

All on Pep, he's set us up poorly all season, it's a mystery how this is the first time we've been properly punished by it. It won't be the last though, this will continue to happen until he makes substantial changes to the shape. Brighton will also create half a dozen gilt edge chances the exact same way bournemouth did today, only they're a better side to be able tinish more of them.

Terrible and injuries aren't the reason for that, it's been coming for weeks. When was the last time we played well? We've struggled against some of the weakest opposition we will face all season for weeks now. we're on the verge of a tough run of fixtures, if we haven't changed our game, it's not going to go well at all.

WTF is going on with KDB?

Why make him travel all the way to Bournemouth just for him to sit on his arse and not move a muscle with a face like a slapped arse

Something not right there

Yet 2nd in league, 2 points behind the leaders, truly remarkable

That kind of result has been coming for weeks , difficult to see how we turn it around from here as Gundo is really struggling and offers very little. His role should be closing out games not being a key starter in midfield

We can only hope Kev comes back strong , I would play him deeper to save his legs and take advantage of his passing range

We all know that Pep is very stubborn so those expecting January signings will be very disappointed

We need to dig in at the moment but it’s felt like that’s all we’ve been doing so far

A lot of these players have been to the well once too often

Yep, thats the problem , being so used to winning all the time. I take myself as an example , i let this poor game get in to my head and ruin my mood, shouldnt be like that lol, i can 't control anything they do :d

It's so hard to understand losing happens to the best teams as well
We have to get ourselves up for the next game and do it all again
