Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Tired patched up team almost grabbed a totally undeserved point at the death, but we got what we deserved from that match.

Bournemouth deserved their victory.

For chunks of the match I took my glasses off, squinted, and pretended that I was watching us playing an away game in our old red and black stripes kit, made me feel much better. :)

The problem is the more we win the harder it is to lose, used to take them in my stride no problem
You can’t fully appreciate the good times without suffering the bad times.

Yeah fair play Bournemouth, outclassed us today.
We looked fatigued in every department.
I thought some of these players were injured still from the talk in the week…
I don’t get why KDB is even named on the bench either if he’s not going to even warm up or come on. Maybe that’s for another day.
Onto the next one.

Our defensive awareness has been chaotic. And we can't nail it down to certain players. When Walker plays he gets roasted. Then the week after he doesn't play and it's Ruben's fault. Ruben steps out and next it's Rico to blame. Collectively as a team we are so weak defensively. We are conceding the same goals week in week out. Quick break down the side, ball in to the box and it results in the opposition scoring. That needs to stop!!
Well stated, as I mentioned prior to the game…and if I can see it, every millionaire PL manager can definitely see it!

One thing that is a problem is that the “Back Four” is rarely the same 4 players from game to game!

Pep needs to find his BEST Back Four, and make a defensive sub or two in the last 1/4 of the game to keep everyone fresh.

Another issue that hurts when we are not playing well is the constant shuffling of the team when we are struggling. We very rarely swap “like for like” and seem to put some one on that moves 3 players to a completely different position for the last 10-30 mins.

Today, it almost worked, because we started to terrorize their RB with alternating forays from Nunes and then Doku, but when we shift everyone around in midfield, we seem to lose shape and poise.

While Pep loves nothing more than a versatile player, when things aren’t going well, STABILITY is usually the foundation from which you rebuild your swagger.

That had I can’t be arsed written all over it , if anything convinces Guardiola to leave it will be performances like today . He always talks about hunger and desire, today we had none apart from the last ten minutes.
Bollocks, maybe the lads are absolutely fucked. Wouldn’t surprise me if Akanji and Guardiol are carrying knocks. Pep probably had an eye on Sporting and might have to use players in that who need extra rest. Hopefully Pep looks at this though and thinks maybe it’s time for Gundogan to step back he’s added nothing since his return maybe put Nunez in there.

Some moron on here acted like a dickhead after Wolves when I said the last minute goal papered over cracks and that it wouldn't be sustainable to perform the way we have done this season and expect us to win anything.

Will be loads more days like today if Pep don't rectify glaring issues quickly
Yeah he's got to rectify them fucking injuries eh..
FFS we have players who you can see aren't anything like fully fit..Pep even said earlier that players are playing through the pain barrier.
Once we get players back we will be fine..just got to keep hanging in there until then.

Disappointing result, but every cloud has a silver lining - put a few of the usual idiots on ignore today!

Dreadful performance, Bournemouth thoroughly deserved their win.
Far too pedestrian & lacking any sort of spark, a grim watch.
Hopefully, once we get players back then things will change for the better
