Bournemouth (A) Post Match Thread

De Bruyne apparently mouthed the word “hamstring” to Pep (according to the commentators) . If true then at least It’s not a recurrence of his previous injury.

My stream went went Stones went off. Was this an impact injury, a precaution or muscular?

Much better from David in the second half and great game again by Zinchenko. Frustrated by Walker again though

Not pretty but the points are all that matters at this stage. Have to commend our controling of the game and give credit to our defensive game thats been superb of late and much needed given the drop in our attacking play.

Our form has to be a concern, the same issues are appearing every game of late, laboured slow passing, no penetration, too much possession passing and not enough incisive passing and a lack of threat when everyone wants to be the man on the ball playing the pass but you have to hope this form is just a symptom of fatigue and its just a matter of time before it starts clicking again. If this is our poor run of form out of the way for the rest of the season then all good.

Zinchenko was superb as was otamendi, Walker didn't play poorly but danilo was better the last game and should have kept his place as he's currently out performing Walker. He wasnt tested today but you can see gundogans limitations in that role, few times he was hesitant turned himself into trouble, gavs the ball away in potentially threatening positions and then put in a weak as piss challenge, needs to be more alert. Aguero ran his bollocks off yet again and Sterling was our biggest threat despite having 2 players marking him constantly. Much better from David Silva today and we looked better with bernardo in the middle.wouldn't go as far as to say it's a blessing in disguise as hes a phenomenal player that we need fot and playing well but kdb being injured again will surely force bernardo inside which isn't the worst thing ever.

Rest up, get some fitness back into the walking wounded before one more push before an international break. I'm expecting a lot of tactical withdrawals from international duty

Ake was brilliant for them, best player on the pitch.

The rest of their team were absolutely dreadful!

We dominated but looked like a team who knew they were going to have two days off for the first time in ages and maybe the last time this season.

Loads of shots but bar the odd time didn’t really open up a full-on proper chance.

I know what you're saying...but it's not the job of a team with significantly less resources to come out and play us at our game, and get pumped. Just like we did v Chelsea in 04/05 and mugged them 1-0 with a dodgy ish pen.

It's our job to break them down, which is what we did. And nearly always do.

What you say might be totally true but it doesn't stop me from being BORED watching it...

Crystal Palace, Leicester and Newcastle have "significantly (fewer) resources" but If I remember correctly, they gave it a go...

Huge three points after a tiring couple of weeks, we are running on empty on energy and numbers and desperately need this rest.

KDB, Stones, Jesus and obviously Mendy are becoming a huge problem. It's no good having great players who are always injured. I think Pep will have a big look at it close season, some uncomfortable decisions may have to be made.

Credit to the lads though in spite of everything one cup in the bag and pressure on the dippers. I expect them to win comfortably tomorrow but it would be wonderful if they drop points.

Hasn’t he already said we would be looking for a LB and DM in the summer window....
