PEP: @benmendy23 is travelling with us. I don’t know if he will play. Kyle cannot play. @IlkayGuendogan will play with the second team.

PEP: (On RB position) I think @2DaniLuiz is going to play there.

PEP: B'mouth are a team who want to play. The manager is so good in those terms. They start with two defeats but sometimes that can happen.

Our defense is giving me the jitters..got the feeling we will concede here and to a lot of teams. We need a centre half..no messing about just sign a top quality defender.

I think we are a bit better at the back all things considered. What is still the same is a lack of a cutting edge up front. We probably do need a centre half and it looks like we know who it will be.

for me I would love us to go 4-3-3 but think Pep will stick with 3-5-2. Merlin and Sterling have to play and would love to see Doctor (Bernardo) play more than 20 minutes. I would drop De Bruyne to the bench as I thought he was poor first half trying to unlock a packed defence.Think Kevin plays better against teams who attack ala Arsenal and Liverpool.

Bournemouth club captain Simon Francis remains out with the hamstring strain he suffered on the opening day.

Jermain Defoe could make his his first Premier League start for the Cherries but Callum Wilson and Junior Stanislas are still long-term absentees.

Can't see beyond a win in this one (although I said that for Neverton).

Hopefully they won't try and play for the draw, and sting us with a long ball over the top; 1 shot, 1 goal.

I'll happily take the points and gain some confidence so we can build a platform for the rest of our season. We don't need to be slipping too far behind; even at this early stage of the season.

You don't think playing over half the game with 10 men isn't why we dropped points last week?
Had pep went 4-4-2 to begin with I dare say we'd have put it bed long before the red card. strangely we looked far more dangerous with 10 men. I wish he'd stop fucking about and play a fast tempo. We are a different team when we do that. had a whole season of slow build up shite and that got us nowhere.

I agree with you on that

4 4 fucking 2. Big man small man. Play it fast.

Piece of piss this management lark.

Haha! I said the other day on the Pep thread that all those on his case are likely to be the 4-4-2 brigade. They won't ever buy into what he's trying to do because it's impossible for them to see the game any different to 20 years ago.

Totally agree. Although I wouldn't be upset for him to return to 433 and drop one of Aguero or Jesus to the bench.

I think he will when Mendy is fit anyway.

Its not as complicated as he makes it out to be.
He just sees the game different that's all. He's got his own ideas of how he wants us to play. The high ups think it was a philosophy worth waiting for, so it's only fair we give him a chance to mplement it.

I like your humour Pablo..i don't like 3at the back.not sure which camp that puts me in.

Why don't you like it?

To put my two penneth in, I dont think our current centre backs are suited to it. Stones & Kompany are both much better playing in the middle of a 3 rather than on the right or left. None of the 3 are remotely comfortable playing on the left, as was demonstrated in the Everton game when they all had a go but just didn't look at ease. Square pegs in round holes.
