Bournemouth (H) CC 3rd Round Pre-Match Thread

paulchapo no there hasn't been a change we always came in at the 3rd round stage. It's just that we have already lost 5 weeks of the season before we begin our season. This is due to the Covid19 virus. It will be like this for most of the season unless we go out of the cups at an early stage.

Third round is normal. We don't go in in the 2nd round - when other PL clubs go in, such as Palace in this case.

calm down. The League Cup match can be played on the Thursday and the following weekend match put back to Sunday.

We get into a rhythm when we get games every 3 days. It's usually the ones before or after international breaks were a bit rusty.

Change the Leicester game from Saturday to Sunday? With 2 weeks notice? Fans like me have already booked hotels and flights that cant be changed. No consideration for fans at all.....

* 24th - Thu is where our game most likely will be. But you never know they can make us play on Wed as well ...

It's actually a good thing, Pep can give every one a game in the first two games, so those on the bench or new signings can possibly get a game straight away without waiting for too long and then Pep can go back to his first choice XI for Leicester game again!

Why did they btw draw Round 2 and 3 together? Not been like this before ... answering my own question but probably because Round 2 is only a week before Round 3 so I guess that's why ... not sure how many games on TV for each round now, given no fans, I am hoping they show more than just the 2 each round.

I would prefer Bournemouth to Crystal Palace for our cup tie. Mainly because I would see Bournemouth as a chance to give some of the fringe players a full game. Bournemouth will be looking to get back into the Premier League this season
