This may be a bit controversial for which I apologise in advance: I thought that Alfie’s lad was trying a little bit too hard at times today. He wanted a goal in front of the faithful (us) at home. Understandable really and I’ve seen it with players before and (hopefully) will do again. But dinnae fesh yersen Erling lad. We loves ya anyway and the goals will come. That assist for Gundog was superb. Keep up the good work and I’ll stop shouting ‘come on Alfie’s lad’ and start shouting ‘come on Erling’! :-)

Erling's success will hinge on observing Kane's positioning & movement in the PL. I know many fans have said the fact Haaland stayed on the CB's shoulders created space for Gundog, KDB & Foden to score, but he was brought here be our main goal scorer.

Foden should have passed to him for what surely would've been a sitter & if Haaland had dropped deeper at times like last week against the Hammers, he'd have been more involved in the game & probably bagged another couple of goals again.

Cant fully agree with that. Spurs don't often come up against a back 8, and kane is able to drop deep into space which with city doesn't exist. Already full of midfield and 2 FB as well as opposition, and when kane drops deep its usually to be the provider not scorer.
His first against West ham he was on the shoulder of the last defender to get penalty. The second again last defender but with space to run as west ham more open. His presence almost a good as a goal.
I think erling is going to find it more difficult to score as opposition often park the bus at etihad. I think he'll score more away than at home. As long as win I'm happy.
I do think he has a lot to learn though.

did foden pick up a knock or was he on the naughty step as it seemed strange to hook him at half time unless he was injured or the heat had got to him

We'll have to agree to disagree then mate. Our movement & flexibility is what flumoxes packed opposition defences. If all we needed was a body in there to be shoulder to shoulder with the last man, we could've bought Danny Ings years ago for a lot less money.

Both Erling & City have acknowledged we'll need time to adapt to each other.

There's also another issue... Do you really think Erling Haaland will be happy scoring 10 goals per season, as long as City win? Somehow, I think not... \0/

Jeez! As a kid, I used to cry bucketloads when my Mam dressed me like that. It's hard to fathom that in 2022, people are paying £10k+ for the privilege??? The mind boggles! :-|

Ha ha you'd have got battered everywhere dressed like that in Wythenshawe when I was a kid. It just goes to show you how good marketing can make any old shit fashionable.

My Mam used to dress me the opposite of the trending fashion. I wouldn't mind, but it's not like my family couldn't have afford to dress me better, albeit we weren't rich. With her warped logic, it would stop me from becoming a popular wide-boy & trouble causer... :-|

It didn't work! ESPECIALLY after I got a £6 per week paper round & was finally able to ditch those shit Black or white plimsoles, & the slippy plastic soled Adidas 4 stripe she bought me from Longsight Market & buy my first pair of Gola trainers... :-)

I then progressed to Power Tunis, Mitre & finally Adidas Bamba age 14! :-)
