When opponent’s sit deep Erling ties up 2 of them leaving more space for Kev & co than when we played Jesus or sterling up top. A nice assist is a good days work for him

Great display. It’s going to take time for us to use Haaland correctly. Jack was excellent when he came on and the ref was a twat. How many digs after the ball had gone did he allow? How Smith did not have more than 1 yellow and how that “tackle” was not a red after Var I don’t know. People will say none of this matters but constantly being kicked will take its toll over a season and we need to be protected more

Reality is we could have had 8, looks at times same as last Sunday that we become almost bored and switch off both defensively and when converting chances.

Not being overly negative as I’m pleased with the results.

There was a point just after half time where Bournemouth were committing 6-7 players forward and we were winning the ball back and playing keep ball at that point. Could've opened them up wide open. There is no excuse for KDB being free on Foden's goal when Bournemouth had 3 players trying to hold a line on a counter attack. It was all quite bizarre. I don't went to get into heavy discussions though as it is hot and lots of beer to drink :)

He got the second half but didn't play centrally. He was fine. Wouldn't have converted any doubters but did the basics well, made space and made a couple of half chances.
