Kick off time 16:30 (GMT).

Another Sunday kick off, getting sick of them already.

I rate Iraola highly, this Bournemouth side play the type of football that could cause us issues, so fast in transition and play some really tidy football.

Unsure on injuries, hopefully Rodri is getting closer.

----------Donnarumma
Nunes---Dias---Gvardiol---O'Reilly
----------------Nico/Rodri
--------Cherki-------Reijnders
---Foden-------Haaland--------?????

Tempted to say sack the wingers off, pack the midfield and get Foden and Cherki near Haaland.
Marmoush for the missing spot and swap Foden and Cherki around (although Foden would probably be more disciplined holding the width. Might want Stones as one of the centre halves as well. He brings calmness to the defence.

Dispense with wingers and go 3 at tge back with wing backs

foden or rjinders can play above same stones or dias

OR

go 4-3-3 still no wingers

I don't think Khusanov should be anywhere near starting after his display yesterday. He'll need to be slowly brought back up to speed from the bench as and when possible.

Nah, yesterday was him shking off post injury rustiness, if we bench him match fitness won't happen, he is 22 and a strong lad, games will get him fitter not 5-10 minute cameos

Pep saying he doesn't know if Erling will be available for sunday.
Marmoush up top then and a trio cherki/foden/rejinders behind him ?

so back 3. khus, stones/dias, josko

Nunes and Nico O as wingbacks

Nigo G holding

Foden-Reg-cherki

Marmoush

Excited about this game. Iraola is doing an incredible job at Bournemouth considering they sold their goalkeeper and three of their starting back four in the Summer.

We are around the quarter-mark of this season now, and Bmouth are currently on course to better our points total from last season (2 pts a game at the moment, would end up with 76 pts).

Although, they have only won 1 of their 4 away games this season, and have conceded 9 of their 11 goals away from home, they did show at Leeds and Palace that they keep going to the end where they scored important goals after the 90-minute mark and we haven’t put a 90-minute performance in yet and have often faded late in games. So no early leaving on Sunday, we need to be behind our boys until the final whistle!

On our fans, I’d like to see (and hear) us treat this like a big game. So far this season our atmosphere has been abysmal, and we can’t use the excuse of not having any big games yet because we’ve played some big rivals at home so far.

We need a good defender up against Semenyo, so I think we need O’Reilly and Khusanov at LB+RB, because we won’t know what wing Semenyo will play as so far this season he’s played on the left wing 5 times and the right wing 4 times, and even within games he switches sides often. He’s been the best winger in the league this season. He’s the league’s second top scorer and fourth top assister and has already scored more PL goals this season (6) as Doku, Savinho and Grealish managed for us all last season combined (5). So we need to be right on it defensively with him.

I hope Cherki is fit to play. I think it’s time to see him causing some havoc in the PL now. He is the signing I’ve been most excited about since we signed Gvardiol. Just don’t know how his body will react after his first full game he’s competed since his last game at Lyon in May.

I’d also like to see Nico play with Kovačić and drop Reijnders because we can’t carry any passive players on Sunday, we need players who’ll stamp some authority on the game and take responsibility to be someone who is making a purposeful impact to win the game.

And will Haaland be fit? He clattered the post late on at Villa and wasn’t seen in training for the pics this week.

This would be my team:

—————————Donnarumma——————————
Khusanov———Dias———Gvardiol———O’Reilly
—————————Nico———Kovačić————————
——Cherki——————Foden———————Doku——
———————————Haaland———————————-

We played these roughly at the same time last season although it was away. And we lost, it was the first loss of a run which saw us go to shit, only won 1 of the following 7 league games.

Whats worrying is that we have lost 3 games already this season and at this date last season we lost none. This is a must win game.

There's nothing worrying. City were under-cooked at the start of the season but now we have a vibrant young team and Pep has the nice problem of figuring out how or if he can fit formerly injured players like Marmoush and Cherki into the side.

---------Donnarumma
Nunes--Dias--Stones--O'Reilly
------------Gonzalez
--------Cherki--Foden
-Doku--Haaland--Marmoush
