The question is how do we overcome the mental and physical fatigue of Wembley.
Nunes, Grealish, Kovacic are likely starters. Nico, Gundogan, Foden and Echeverri are possible starters. Likely KDB will play as a sub.
The fans will be up for it. They always are in bad moment
Admirable post, but I think there are a few 100% starters tomorrow night (providing they are fit)I was going to post this in the Prematch thread for Wembley but it equally applies here too......
I am certain that noone will be certain of the starting x11 until its announced and its a certainty that 100% of the posters here will not be 100% happy with it.
There's just x2 games left and tomorrow is last home game. Whatever starting x11 Pep comes up with, [and to be honest I'm not certain Pep has any real belief in the x11 he picks, that its a stronger x11 than he could pick with x6 different players instead...], as Fans, all we can do is create a fantastic atmosphere within the ground tomorrow evening and be as hostile as possible to the opposition.
We know the squad has less world class quality than in previous years. Its frustrating and disappointing but it is what is and its not going to change til after Sunday. Tomorrow night the team needs to hear the fans. They need to hear that we love them but that we demand total commitment. CL qualification is still in our own hands, in the players hands.
So tomorrow night, forget the weekend, ignore any personal gripes with team selection, get out of your seat, [if you can] and just make some noise. I'm demanding 100% from the players on pitch so I'll be giving them 100% from the stand.
A draw would potentially suffice but would leave us needing the win at Fulham.Gone for a win, it's a must if we are too quality for the Champions league.
Tbf to Pep, last time it happened when Gundogan was on a hattrick & he missed Pep went mad at Haaland because Villa or whoever it was went up the other end and nearly equalised. So either Haaland ignored Pep or Pep told him Omar is taking them.Who's taking any penalties? Might be prudent for the manager to decide that before selecting the starters.
Leeds. In fairness, at the time Guardiola said that Haaland was playing well and that it was a business, not a charity, and thus his responsibility to take them. One could hardly say Haaland is currently in form or a shoo in from the spot either. Be interesting to see who steps up if we get one at 0-0.Tbf to Pep, last time it happened when Gundogan was on a hattrick & he missed Pep went mad at Haaland because Villa or whoever it was went up the other end and nearly equalised. We are the form team of the PL….In our current form, this is a tough match. I expect attack Vs defence once more. If we take the few clear chances that will come our way, we will win. The lineup won't be the easiest to predict and we will see some changes.
Ah, I’ve changed my prediction to a 5-0 win now, you’ve convinced me.The perfect storm is gathering......lol
That was the only interesting moment in a very flat press conference. Some very stupid questions , e.g., "How important is this game?"A subtle hint that Rodri maybe included tomorrow
