Bournemouth Travel (no ticket talk)

Train to London - get one of those day Travelcards for just over £40. Then Waterloo to Bournemouth return - the train company that runs that is doing a special advance return for £15. I actually got the London train for £20 return the other day when that Virgin sale was on but even without that, £55 isn't too bad and time wise it's no worse than the extortionately priced direct train.
just booked this. 60 quid.

cheers.

We go via Waterloo but coming back direct to Macc after saved on a hotel considering its Champs league that week all being well, Munich or Barca here we come

Very tight, may need to leave just before final whistle to jump a taxi, at least a 30 min fast walk !

Apparently Pokesdown station is closer to the ground. The 17.22 from Bournemouth to Waterloo stops at Pokesdown at 17.26. That should just about be doable if leaving at full-time. Only trouble is that if you miss it, the next one - 17.59 out of Bournemouth - doesn't stop there!

Well spotted ! - Pokesdown Station is way closer to stadium no more than 10 mins walk, so the train at 17.26 from there is easily doable.
