Boxsets/Series

The Wire
House
The West Wing

p.s. don't worry I can hear you all laughing from here ;)

This isn’t a thread for arguing the nuances of each series. Just asking for your top selections. If you don’t like game of thrones leave it out of your selection. No issue.

I’d question anyone who has Dexter in their top three though.
I did leave it out, exactly as you did with Dexter.

Got the series thread plus some individual ones like Game of Thrones. But let’s have it. Top three. No fucking about. No umming and arring. Just your top three.

1. Gomorrah
2. Game of Thrones
3. The Wire/Breaking Bad

“No fucking about. No umming and arring. Just your top three.” then proceeds to pick 4 in a top 3....

1) Fargo
2) Peep Show
3) Breaking Bad

1. Game of Thrones.

That's it. Haven't watched any of the others mentioned. Only watched this to see what the shouting was about. Up to date now, it's ok. Not the best TV I've seen. Not the worst either.

Never been one for box sets but started watching series one of Game of Thrones and I’m addicted. My wife was looking forward to the end of the football season but I’ve now found a replacement.

Also I’d never seen Breaking Bad but bought a box set of all the series 1-6 for £6.00. I’ve heard good things about Breaking Bad so looking forward to watching that.

Escape At Dannemora. Eight hours, one off series with a beginning a middle and a definite end. Starts a little slow but is simmering nicely by episode 3.

Benicio Del Toro, Patricia Arquette, Paul Dano and a whole host of other familiar faces tear it up. No schmalz, hollywood stuff, or showiness anywhere in this show.

If you like prison break stuff, crime series in general, or just bleak misanthropic portrayals of massively unattractive but strangely watchable characters then go for it.

I thought it was excellent.

Love/Hate - Number 1 for me, loved it.
Gomorrah - Not even seen the most recent season.
Homeland.
