The sending off yesterday has masked the fact that Bobby Manc's tactics were way off the mark.
Only Tevez upfront, three holding midfielders, it was obviously the plan to do a Chelsea on them...we really should have gone for it. Once the sending off occurred he appeared non plussed as to what to do.
I understand that injuries to Kolo and Carlos meant some decisions were made for him but then 2-0 down with 20 mins to go, he puts Balotelli on the right wing when we had one of the best wingers in the world on the bench. Bizarre.
Worst game from Milner too. AJ should have started.
Just my opinion.

It's a crap opinion

We were trying to do a 'Chelsea' on them - yes win muppet

City looked very comfortable until the sending off (which was a silly mistake by Boyata to jump in like that) which changed the game dramatically. I agree with RM, we would have won that comfortably 11 against 11.

Thing is our whole game is around dominating midfield, which against Arsenal is the toughest test of the season. We lost a man early on meaning we had to lose a midfielder making our game plan even harder. Milner tracks back and tackles a whole lot more than AJ. To be bring AJ on would have meant we would've lost the midfield even more than we did. We can blame tactics all you like, but as soon as we went to 10 men we were fucked.

Comfortable for all of 4 minutes :D

There's no doubt the sending off made a big difference but we did create a lot of chances in the game also.

The problem is we struggle when we go behind to turn the game around and that's when there is no point continuing with 3 defensive midfielders.

Milner, not quite on the money for me yet since he joined, not just yesterday.

Definately thought Adam Johnson would have brought something to the game cetainly for the last 20 minutes.
