I'm afraid poor old little Englanders boycotting anything will make no difference whatsoever and convince everybody even more that we are just like everyone thinks anyway, bad losers and whingers who think we have the right to reform the world.

What we have to realise is that 90% of the world would not work at all without corruption at every level of society. So what we are trying to tell them is that they are all wrong and we are right. Is it any surprise that only 17 countries wanted to stop the vote. I am amazed that you can have a vote when there is only one candidate and then be convinced you have the mandate to serve for another long long long 4 years.

If we want it to change soon we can only hope he has a short and painful death early in his tenure. The saying power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely has never been so true.

90% I very much doubt that figure, how did you come about it?

36yrs as a seafarer and visiting a lot of countries dealing with port officials etc. I have to say it felt like 90%. The openly corrupt places I went to were just about everywhere apart from Western Europe minus Greece, Scandinavia, North America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore. The highly populated areas like Eastern Europe, Africa, India, China, Malaysia, Phillipines, South America and even the Carribean, not to forget anywhere around Suez were. The Middle East in general was quite good.

When you consider some politicians in this country have already been shown to be corrupt it could be said that there is corruption in every country. It is said that everyone is corruptible, only the price is different and I suppose that would also include me. This is why I hesitate in showing the indignation the FA is showing now over unproved corruption in FIFA.

I was annoyed about FIFA when I started this thread. But the more it's gone on... the less I care.
Blatter et al can go fuck 'emselves, so can Bernstein, Brooking and every other **** on whatever gravy train they're riding.

I don't know why I even raised the issue, cos in all honesty I couldn't give a fuck.
