GELSON FERNANDES has added to Manchester City’s troubles by threatening to quit unless he gets regular football.

City were left reeling last week after their failure to land Kaka and seeing £32million record signing Robinho going AWOL.

And after starting just three Premier League games this season, midfielder Fernandes, 22, has warned he will leave for the sake of his international career.

He moaned: “I have lost my place in the Switzerland team. Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has made it clear I must play regularly.
