This one is different to Sancho as we genuinely just didn't give him a chance. Sancho left before getting to an age anyone would play him, but Brahim we have genuinely just messed around a bit. He could have been getting game time like Foden for probably 3 years now, but instead has barely touched the first team squad. Foden coming through at the same time killed his chances really as he was always going to get preferential treatment with the whole local lad thing, but it's a shame for Brahim as he has more than enough talent.

Real looks like a terrible move though tbh, out of the frying pan and into the fire, he'll find it no easier to get games there than here, he really should be looking at someone just a notch or two lower

I don't quite agree, he played a similar amount last year to Phil, however he hasn't committed his future to the club so is getting what he has deserved. Brahim has been messing us around over a contract for more than 6 months, why does he warrant game time?

Very dissapointing news that it looks like were going to lose him.
Losing Sancho who is a real talent is not great but I get the reasons behind that move.
It's looking in the grand scheme of things that academy talent is in reality only going to produce a limited number of players who become seasoned first teamers.
Players who can't break in are going to get tempted away and theirs nothing we can do about it.

Pep wont be able to promise him what he wants, perhaps Solari has and if he goes there and spends 3 years farmed out across La Liga then we will sit back and say that its the wrong move.

Or Solari plays him, bins off Isco, Vasquez amongst others and whilst putting his own stamp on the team and he starts tearing it up like Sancho then fair play to the lad.

If they don't accept what the dynamics of the club are, and their position within those, they have the choice to refuse our offer and move on.

Doesn't mean it will be the correct decision though.

Only time will tell, but the tail cannot wag the dog .

How is he "messing us around"? It's his future FFS, he's entitled to take however long he wants to make that decision while fulfilling his current contract, which he has done. That's more than Sancho did, he went AWOL a few times IIRC.

He’s off and if it was to a Dortmund or team of that ilk I’d understand but real?? Simply moving sideways imo... the prestige is determining the decision, he’ll be loaned out quicker than saying ‘hola, mi amigo’

If he's turning Pep down for anything Solari says then he's a fool, Solari will be lucky to make easter, or perhaps even christmas, and a new manager may not want him, yet Pep clearly does, but to be with Pep he needs to be patient.

If there's a better manager for a player his age, they're not obvious at the moment.

Young players, and more specifically their agents, want it now. It is hard to think of where your career will be in 12 years time when you are just 18 and it will be difficult to convince some of the world's top young players otherwise, especially if they have no emotional links to the club.

We will make money, which is a valid business plan for any academy

There is no way that he would get anywhere near Real Madrid's first team. To be honest, he would even struggle to get into their B team, Castilla, who play in Segunda B (the third tier). They (Castilla, that is) played my local team (Unionistas de Salamanca) a couple of months ago, and they stuffed us. Just 3-0, but it could/should have been 10. Mind you, Vinicius Junior was playing for Castilla that day. Castilla have some really talented young players, and Brahim would be just one more.
