Too many negative comments on this post.
If the lad is as good as the reports, he progresses and develops through the academy with a stable family around him and hits the headlines in 4 / 5 years then I for one will be absolutely delighted with this signing.
Its the vision of the future and he certainly will not be the last child prodigy to be scooped by our scouting staff.

Agree mate. Nobody knows if he will eventually live up to his billing but nothing ventured, nothing gained. If the gamblle fails, it's hardly the end of the world. If it succeeds, well....

As an aside, isn't it great to see our pulling power growing by the week?
