Charles Sale got exactly the same fact wrong in his Daily Mail diary, too (maybe him and Brian 'panto dame' Woolnough compared notes over their Little Chef breakfast). Submitted a comment online telling him as such but, surprise surprise, it wasn't published! And he's the first journo to stick the knife in if anyone blunders in public...

if someone complains about you getting your job wrong (to you) they stand less chance of having an impact than if they complain to your boss (hint, hint) :)

It was the generic 'comments' bit at the end of the online version that I tried to post in (doubt Sale has any say in that) but point taken. I shall target the organ grinder the next time he has a senior moment ;-)

That idiot Ashton in the NOTW got it wrong again today. Talking about the Spurs match he wrote:

'This was some way off the four goal blitz that buried Blackburn on the opening day last season.'

Er, didn't we win 2-0? It's no wonder we get annoyed at these people when whilst trying to get in a sly dig they can't get their facts right!
