Why weren't they apprehended at the airport, or the hotel or the training ground or the stadium before the match?

Why has it took until the 7th minute of the match to realise they shouldn't be there?

I don't know the full details but from the outside looking in, it looks like both authorities are at fault. Argentina should face punishment for not following the rules but so should Brazil on the basis that they should never have allowed it to go this far.

The documents hadn’t been issued yet. Then they went to the hotel, the Argentina delegation had purposefully left early, and at the stadium, they had locker the door of the dressing room to not allow contact with the authorities. Apparently they said through the door that after the game they would leave with the bus and not report the players to the authorities

That's fair enough and Argentina have definitely been irresponsible if they knew they had players that shouldn't be there but the Brazilian authorities shouldn't have let them out of the dressing room if that was the case.

Haha a rag move if ever there was one. What absolute cunts Brazil have been. Could have just told them they'd be expected to quarantine then they both play without their English contingent and get the game done and work on clearing their backlog instead they pull this cunts trick, waste time, and create a much more problematic backlog. Let's hope they're still on the red list when it gets rearranged, they have even fewer players available and the game is decided by straws.
