A few of the locals like Stonie may know this already, but i've heard that the Sun Inn is going to become a cheap pint pub similar to the Last Orders in Denton or a Wetherspoons. I'm not too happy about it to be honest. Great for the old man at the bar with a paper, but these places can attract some right ones (Last Orders in Hyde and Denton a great example).

Your views please?

I heard a bit ago it might become
at spoons. Thought it was too small for that tbh.

Last orders is terrible, don't look forward to having one in audenshaw. Especially with surrounding estates.

They've completely gutted the inside of the place. I still think it will be too small for a Spoons as you say Josh as i heard this a bit ago. The only thing i can think why they would like an outlet there is that it is half way between Ashton and Hyde. Plus, it has the extension for food.

I can't see it being a weatherspoons etc..

They have ripped some things out, but they don't look to be spending that much money on it in my opinion. The same skip seems to have been there for weeks. Few bricks, plasterboards.

The outside still looks a mess even with the decoration that it has had.

If it's going to be a food place they need to do a bit more in my opinion.

I might be wrong on all them points though, i'll nip in for a pint when it's all done!

No mate as the owners sold it on, i think her dad was running it whilst it was being sold. But i heard about it turning into a watered down den from someone who knows her old man.

too be honest i aint heard anything on these lines and cant see it being a withers pub, just no demand i would say and they only open in town centres, cant believe its re opening at all in this financial climate......

contact tameside licensing dept or failing that ask your local councillor

I know one local councillor lives only across the road, so i can't seeing her being too happy about it. Thats of course if this is going ahead.
