Breaking records/stats thread

I’m not really mad on unbeaten run records because you can do them by drawing every match. You could be invincibles in the Prem and get relegated after 38 draws.

However, it’s funny seeing fans of other clubs see their arse that it’s not a real unbeaten run because we lost to Madrid. I kind of agree with them, I think FIFA should change that regulation they have where a team who loses on penalties don’t officially lose, I think that’s a bit silly really. But they’re the rules at present so fuck em haha.

But you can win the game and then lose on penalties so what happens then? It's part of a two-legged fixture in the CL so I think it's correct that they call the result after 90 minutes. I agree on an individual game that losing on penalties should be a loss though.

I see that Leicester have beaten our premier league record of 8 consecutive home games without scoring a goal which was under Pearce in 2007.
They’ve just gone 9 games. Kudos!
Hard to believe that they won that premier league title and where they are now

This is their second relegation from the PL since winning the title in 2016.
They have won the second tier 8 times (a record) but I don't see them extending that any time soon following this dismal season.
Strangled by FFP rules designed to keep clubs like them in their place. Brighton and Forest have only competed by using free loans. Everton will go the same way if they are not allowed to invest. Of course Leicester have made mistakes but we all know the current cartel system holds the medium sized clubs back.

Ah yes. Football: The only industry that actively opposes inward investment.

It is easy to throw cheat stuff about with zero evidence. The fact is we were near good enough that season, and Chelsea fell off a cliff, it was wide open.

A bit like this season then... Plucky little underdogs winning the title because we fell off a cliff, and Arsenal were nowhere near good enough.

Leicester deserved to win the title as much as they deserved to get relegated this season.

Is football, yes?
