A few of them are probably beyond us, to be honest. Although, technically, we CAN do them. For example, the earliest title win. We'd have to win the next 4, while the rags would have to drop 8 pts in their next 4 games. We'd then (by my dodgy maths) be 22 ahead with 7 games left. 77 pts to 55.

  • City have set a new record for successive domestic wins by an English top-flight club, surpassing the previous best of 14 achieved by the Preston (1891-92) and Arsenal (1987-88).
  • Pep Guardiola has now won 200 matches as City manager, becoming just the 2nd manager in our history to reach that tally.
  • Guardiola has a better win ratio at City (73%) than he did at Barcelona (72%).
  • City have won 18 of their 21 FA Cup ties under Pep Guardiola.
  • We have reached 3 consecutive FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 1934.
  • Since Pep's first season in England, we have scored more FA Cup goals than any other side (65).
  • City have now scored at least 3 goals in a single game for the 117th time under Guardiola, that's 44% of the matches in which Pep has taken charge.
Amazing stuff ... the last stat alone is fairly incredible !

Not to mention the other clubs involved. In fact I can see them giving up 2nd place myself.

21.

would you take a record equalling 27 now. Meaning we win the next 6 but then lose or draw the 7th v Leeds?

I want to know what @jimharri thinks
On the morning of the match, no. If we're losing with 5 minutes to go, I'd settle for a draw. I'm curious (some on here would say I'm VERY curious). If we've equalled the 27 mark, why would we (before the game) settle for a draw/defeat in number 28,irrespective of the opponent? Not directed at you ag, BTW. It's directed at Cobwebcat.

Because that’s not the hypothetical choice.

We have 21 now. The choice is to see see what happens from now on that we could lose or draw at any time vs a guaranteed equalling (but not surpassing the record)

Comes down to how confident you are on winning all of the next 6 games.
