I also got turned away few years back when we had our xmas do there due to my shaven head (was only a number 3 i think so nothing too drastic) the bouncer uttered the now immortal words (at least in my office) "you can't come in here with that hair cut mate"

However the door policy is no where near as strict as they used to be (think there happy to have the custom in these tough economic times) i went about 3 weeks ago and got in no problems despite my crew cut type hair :)

had a couple of works do's there....its grab a granny night in the club downstairs ;p

True story... I work on the post and I deliver to some retirement apartments, one day last week I had mailshots from Bredbury Hall for most of the residents in there!

This post started so promisingly, talk of "grab a granny" and then a postman making deliveries to a retirement home had "niche porn" written all over it. How disappointing it ended in "Postman delivers letters shocker".

In the '80s it was the hotel of choice for RAF crews that were training at Woodford. It was well known throughout the RAF that you could get an almost guaranteed shag there.

Having works do there on the 14th Dec, never been before so what's it like?

Food is excellent and good facilities but disco tends to be for the older generation.

It's a touch more 'opulent' than Stockport's other establishment, the Bamboo...grab a grany indeed!

I was in there about 6 months ago for a mate's bday, and Jim Gannon was in there with some bird about 15 years his junior.

Don't go calling the Bamboo, try the acton court on singles night
