Could and should have been a couple up in the first half. We looked something like close to being back. The second was a grind. These are the results which I find more satisfactory.

We let the game away from us in the midfield but I think defensively we're looking more solid this year. Just need to be more clinical.

As an aside Refs need to get a grip on these long throws. It seems you can just take them where the fuck you want and apparently taking 30 secs getting a towel to dry the ball isn't wasting time but 20 secs looking for someone in space is a booking.

A bit like Monaco midweek; we played reasonably well first half without really getting out of second gear, stayed in second gear while the opposition upped it and we struggled to do much second half.

I don’t think we had a shot on or off target after the 40th minute, did we?

3 points and up to 5th though. Decent enough considering how average we looked second half.
 
Second half was a slog, but its actually nice to see us dig in and win ugly. Away win after a tough away CL game is always a good thing. Feel better going into the international break than the last one.
 
Dogged it which is at least is a good thing, I’ve got a major issue with the different officiating for throw ins, long throw ins are being treated like a set piece where you can take all the fucking time you want and the ref actually blows the whistle to restart the game but Nico gets a card for taking much less time.
 
Big 3 points that, should have been out of sight by half time.
no easy games in this league now especially away from home so really happy.
Hope rodri was just a knock.
