This was a day for Kovacic and Gonzalez over Rodri and Reijnders imo. And definitely Stones over Dias.

Savinho over Doku can only be a 'shop window' selection.

Could be an uncomfortable day for our midfield.

Dont think Kova would be fit to start...he has just had a few months out so no way he was going to come back in a start straight out.....

I doubt we’ve benched our most in-form player for a difficult away game just for the sake of it. Presumably he’s got a knock/isn’t fully fit or something. Great option to have from the bench if needed anyway. Hopefully Savinho and Bobb can seize their opportunity.

Lacks the pace of Doku and I wouldn’t have started Sav based on recent performances…but other than that, we should be strong enough to get the job done.

Doku for Savinho for me. Pep always does it when a player has a poor game the game before, drops them. Bernardo understandable, but Doku no way, one poor game so far this season

Agreed....RAN should not just walk back into this team once available....there were moments in his limited appearances where his attitude and application were very questionable

Rodri, Foden and Haaland need to be the leaders today. Lead by example. Chase everything, control the tempo and get the 3 points in the bag.

I'm expecting a big game from Savinho on the back of the contract he's been given - the lad will step up.

A tough away game and Pep starts Savinho gutted about that. I would also add Reijnders should not be starting with his last few appearances.

He showed absolutely nothing to show he deserved the contract he was on. Will be the first subbed off today, after contributing nothing.
