I did hope Txiki will be quick ad get us a high energy midfielder in time for this game but wont happen now. what I dont want to see another iteration of Lewis, Gundo, Bernardo, with Kovacic fit he is coming in but wont be enough if Foden, KDB are the two another midfielders front of him.

we need Bernardo in a deeper 8 and Foden from right wing, but would not mind even Nunes to help out, we need to be solid defensively and keep them to maximum goal we dont face the task of scoring 3 or 4 to win the game.

wonder if it would be better to contain them and as they tire bring on Savinho and Doku on left-right against somewhat tired defence rather than start with them maybe but if we are not ahead or even behind then bench options Grealish, Nunes wont turn it around for us...
these 3 games in a row all away from home is a pretty big test now. Brentford, Ipswich, PSG. and then hosting Chelsea in PL.
bad run of results in these games and we going into a brutal hard schedule in February with a really shit situation.

but go through this period with a few more wins with new transfers coming in to add momentum and all of sudden we might be able to turn the season around a bit and make opponents really worried about us rather than them easily beating us and going through our midfield and find themselves in great chances.

Tough game, but confidence will be a lot higher now. They run the channels and work hard as a team and Frank will have tuned into our weaknesses. But they also concede a lot of chances and I think we'll win a high scoring game. 4-2.

Much as a lot of us would like to see the "yoof" given another run out, Pep will revert to the experienced campaigners. And I guess you can't blame him; Brentford will be slightly tougher a task than the rags lite were on saturday evening. Maybe if we're comfortable late on (like the Feyenoord game!), he could give 10-15 minutes to McAtee and Reilly.

I was hoping we had at least 1 new player for this with energy. Disappointing we don’t. We have had long enough to sort the Rodri issue. If I’m honest I would of liked 2 new starters.

I’m not sure we have enough to win this & would settle with a draw but this will not be easy.

We really can’t afford to be dropping points though if we want top 4

After the way the experienced campaigners have played this year, you can blame him if he reverts to type tomorrow. We need legs, mobility and energy more than anything tomorrow. A plodding gundog won't be enough to see us get the 3 points.

There are a few good places about 10 minutes walk from the ground.
The stadium is at Kew bridge, there are a few good pubs along the riverside.
If you walk towards Brentford and hit the McDs 10-12 mins there are 3 pubs within a minute of each other.
Black Dog, good pub, bit posh with food
Royal Horseguards, proper boozer. No food but good beer sel
Waterman arms, small with good beer and does Thai and stairs bar meals.
I am down for this one, will be in the Horseguards pre match. The bus stop outside McDs takes you straight to the ground. About 4 stops.

Black Dog open from 4pm
But nae scran

Love Gundo, be he even looked off the pace against Salford. Can see all our November and December problems resurfacing against Brentfords fast hardworking Frontline and midfield.

Brentford usually provide us with a tough test and I expect that will be the case tomorrow. Their pace on the counter worries me and I can't see us keeping a clean sheet. However, on the back of 3 wins we are showing more encouraging signs that we are beginning to click in front of goal.

And they got beat at home in the cup by Plymouth at the weekend, despite bringing on their big guns.
3 losses at home on the trot after defeats by Arsenal and Forest. Prior to that, I think they had the best home record but a poor away one - in the middle of that, they thumped Southampton 5-0 away.

I think Ortega, Haaland, Foden, Kovacic, Silva, Savinho, Ake, Gvardiol and Akanji will all definitely play.

So that's 9. I think KdB will make up the midfield, unless he's being fully rested through to the weekend, I'm which case i wouldn't mind seeing Doku get a spin out. Lewis to make up the 11. No idea on Dias fitness.

Need players who will counter Brentfords press I’d include McAtee, Foden, Bernie and Kev in the midfield.
