A strong defensive performance please. Hit them on the break. Frustrate the home fans. Snatch the win with 65th minute & 80th minute goals. Haaland, Kdb. 3 points is all that matters. Players fitness still coming back. City have chased down the leaders of the league nearly every season recently. Get on with it methodically and punish 1 team at a time. Grind down the points difference by a few per month and Livarpool will break by Easter. Up the blues...keep the faith.

F~~~ me! That would truly be a dream come true.

Not a bad shout with the team selection but if Dias is ready I’d have him
back in the side and have Akanji on the right.

Akanjis form is not great but Lewis really worries me at right back. He’s good going forward but defensively he’s a mistake waiting to happen.
So is TAA but everyone raves about him.
Most Fulbacks are poor at defending in the modern game. It's a different role they play.

Forest-dippers game, one of them dropping points. could be both. lets use that to our advantage. and then Arse-Spurs can get spicy as well, imagine a few yellows will fly in that game. even can see a draw in the Chelsea-Bournemouth game.

could be a big round for us if we win the game.

I hope we build on the last few results but Brentford are no mugs.

Reinforcements are on the way…-:)

Ortega
Akanji
Dias/Stones (one of them is fit, surely?)
Ake
Gvardiol
Bernardo
Kovacic
KDB
Foden
Haaland
Savio

We are playing the team with joint best home record though!

I can see Brentford scoring 2 goals, but I think we will prevail Brentford 2 City 4.
Scorers; Gvardiol, Haaland, Kev and Savinho.

You're getting a bit giddy after seeing us score 8 against 3rd tier opponents perhaps?

Cannot see us scoring 4 away based on recent form against realistic opposition.

Assuming no more injuries and those unavailable last game are still unavailable.

Ederson
Lewis
Akanji
Ake
Gvardiol
Kovacic
Bernardo
Kdb
Doku
Savinho
Haaland.

Mcatee should be first off the bench for kdb when he's knackered ahead of Foden or Gundo or Grealish.
Why? Because he scored three against a league 2 side? Im not knocking the lad but to rank him above the 3 is a bit naive. If we are going on past games like you’re doing , Foden scored a hat-trick against these last season in the away fixture.

Gone for a win but would take a draw. Tricky game this. Despite recent results I don’t really feel we have turned the corner yet. Everton, Leicester and West Ham all created numerous chances with ease.

Here’s hoping we keep the unbeaten run going!

After 3 months warning that our midfield couldnt run & thus function against half decent teams, we are now 2 weeks into the window and unbelievably the midfield essentially remains the same and zilch has still been done so far to rectify a blatant deficiency.

Weve beaten Leicester who are shit, Salford who are even shitter and West Ham in the most unjust 4-1 win I think Ive ever seen, Brentford are full of running and energy in midfield, we are not. Sadly the outcome wont be a positive one this evening and until we address the midfield area problem, Ipswich on sunday will be a problem and we wont be beating Chelsea or PSG either until a holding midfielder arrives and also some mobility is added - ie McAtee and O'Reilly start seeing the field more.

I'm not quite as pessimistic as you mainly because our midfield have been performing way below the level we know they can. I agree Brentford are not as poor as some recent opposition but there has been an improvement lately so let's see if continues or if our recent wins have flattered to deceive.
