I thought Phil started very well. He was dictating play, then seemed to fade in the middle part of the game, and then became more involved again towards the end.

Feel sorry for him at times in the middle, We have no real balance in midfield the last few weeks and he looks like he's doing the work of three men.

Akanji. His best game for a good while. Rodders and Foden also good.
On the other side of the coin, Alvarez totally ineffective in midfield (again) and Walker’s penchant for delaying his crosses by just enough to ensure they all get blocked at source, was fucking mind rotting.

Akanji put in a really accomplished performance, defended well and was excellent going forward. Loved his driving runs forward.

Really, why?

inefficient game development, hardly the ball reached to Haaland, not good communication between the football players in the midfield, relatively comfortably the opponent kept the ball in his defensive line etc etc....I trust Pep but in the last games it seems to be the team on the edge of mediocrity, and of course I don't know why.....
