I've heard that a cup of tea is meant to cool you down.

Can't see how though?

Yeah i've heard that, baffled me too

mums comfirmed it to be true she's daft though !!

as peter kay said, you never see the umpire at wimbledon telling the ball boys to get the kettle on for the sweaty tennis players!

Well, surely that's the tea lady's job?

A hot beverage increases your internal body temperature, causing your body to perspire, this sweat is evapourated causing a cooling effect on your skin. So its a false coolness.

Another brilliant one is "is water wet?" or "how wet is water?" I shall leave you to ponder.

There is never a wrong time to have a brew.

I would imagine when you are on the vinegar strokes it might be a little inconvenient.

Strangely enough, I've never found it to be a problem...

-- Mon Mar 26, 2012 7:18 pm --

Answer 1 - Not when it's frozen
Answer 2 - Very, if it's not frozen

See, you're not the only genius on here...

A few years ago I used to keep a jug of iced tea in the fridge during the summer, much more refreshing than cordial and in really hot weather I wouldnt have any fizzy shite as that just makes your sweat sticky and more attractive to little horrible flying creatures.
