For me THIS is the key appointment and will make all the difference to Mancini's reign.

He is a top class coach and knows the premier league well. At the very least we can be sure of better class coaches than Hughes's no mark mates.

I think Hughes's coaching staff let him down, it was obvious that Bowen wasn't able to organise the defence tactically. Hughes should've got a top defensive coach in.

Anyway, Brian Kidd is class and hopefully we can get a decent coaching staff set up now. Would love for Paul Hart to come in as well in some capacity.

i'm always a city optimist and have been criticised a lot for being too biased towards the club so if you knew me you'd know i'm just speculating here. also it almost certainly isn't, and i truly hope is not true.

but do you not think it's slightly sinister that kidd was bought in very low key in a new role so to speak? do you think this was always the plan?

again, i'd argue that this definitely wasn't the case but it did seem a bit like the club had everything in place before this announcement about hughes. it came about in a very strange way i'm sure everyone agrees, there haven't been many sackings similar to this one. i hope we (the fans) have not been misled for months.

again though, i trust the guys at the top completely so i'm sure we haven't.
