Brian Kidd

For me THIS is the key appointment and will make all the difference to Mancini's reign.

He is a top class coach and knows the premier league well. At the very least we can be sure of better class coaches than Hughes's no mark mates.

I think Hughes's coaching staff let him down, it was obvious that Bowen wasn't able to organise the defence tactically. Hughes should've got a top defensive coach in.

Anyway, Brian Kidd is class and hopefully we can get a decent coaching staff set up now. Would love for Paul Hart to come in as well in some capacity.

Bowen talks a good game but delivers little , he always did as a player too ..... he was never much 'kop' even back then!

Kidd was brought here for a reason , especially as they reckon Hughes was out of a job around the time we knocked Arsenal out of the cup ......... he'll do a good job alongside Mancini.

Maybe Kidd will do a good job, I for one hope so, but does Mancini really want Kidd or has he no choice? If he is compromised by Cook or Marwood into accepting Kidd as his assistant then he will resent it and the "partnership" won`t work.

I was just then thinking the same thing.

If Mancini is a good premiership coach and if Kidd is a good premiership number two, it doesn't mean that mancini + Kidd will work.

I always remember reading an article which stated "make no mistake, proffesional football clubs are not one big happy family, they are like any other working environment, because alot of players don't look at their careers as a fan would, they merely see it as 'their job'. This means that the football club will be the same as any factory, warehouse, building site where some get on, some don't.... some can work with each other, some cannot...... some people are forced to work together and can adapt, some are forced to work together and cannot"

What I'm getting at is that while alot of City fans are now seeing Mancini/Kidd as some sort of dream team...... and I prey they can work well together, they may not get on at all.

Time will tell, but then managers are not always given time

Will have little say in what happens on the park I would imagine, purely there in an advisory capacity until Mancini gets to know his players - then he'll go back to doing whatever it is he does.

IMO Kidd is a class addition as assistant manager,

I'm happy to see him working with RM.

Yeah, cos you are about ten and don't know your arse from your elbow and should be on the off topic what tune are you listening to fred...

Agent Kidd and some eyetie hippy are not the answer...

Under Hughes this City team scrapped for everything and turned losses into draws...
