Hope all those whom slagged him off last season are ready to admit they were wrong. He has been tremendous thus far.

Think it helps having a left footed centre half next to him, and Barry who covers well when Bridge goes forward. Last year he was left exposed far too often. The whole balance of the left side is better this season, we know have players who are comfortable using their left peg.

His driving runs forward have become a real asset this season, ever since he put that great ball through for Bellamy in the Celtic friendly he's looked really competent joining in and starting attacks. However, I think Bridge, like many modern fullbacks is probably better going forward than he is defensively. He's had a great start to the season though and with a bit more time with the new back 4 playing together hopefully soon we'll have a solid defence.
