Pep and Txiki are very clear about character being the all important factor in a player.Wasn't able to see the match, so won't comment on it.
On the OS, though, saw the final scenes after full time. Again, as with the other day, what strikes me is the absence of hysteria. No silly Klopp-like gurning, all of them joining hands as if they were at a bloody boy scouts jamboree and running over to the Kop. No idiot dancing antics from Arteta, and frantic celebrations by Arsenal players as if they had actually, at this point, won a trophy. No, just a wander over to the supporters, smiles and a few hugs between the players as if they've had a good work-out on the training pitch, Pep looking satisfied at a job well done. Rodri wasn't even smiling particularly as he clapped our away fans. Just looking fierce.
The contrast could not be more stark. These guys know. They just know.
This is why we keep winning. One game at a time. What a privilege to see it in action.
You have captured it perfectly. These guys just know.
