Brighton (A) Post Match thread - Champions!!!

The Brighton goal was just what the team needed , gave us a kick up the arse , and we played far better after the first twenty minutes , this team has all the skill in the world and are technically exceptional but they a have a spirit that cannot be matched anywhere under Pep , a team with balls of steel and every player has that winning mentality. Its a pleasure to witness such an honest hard working bunch of players , and this standard is not going to stop whilst Pep is at the club. Champions and thoroughly deserved champions at that.

This just makes next season even harder! Going to need two or three international/world class additions to the squad to “Pep” it up and create even more competition for places.

I’ll be interested to see the fixtures for next season now. Hard to believe they won’t give us at least one really bad stretch in and around the busy cup competitions.

THREE-PEAT!!!

I’m a bit of flapper but not today ?? but it just felt right from the kick off today even after they scored ?? and captain KOMPANY was the rock we had missed before he played a major part in the run and having somebody like that to hold it all together was why we did the dippers again truly a legend

the game itself was always going to be sloppy and slow and fits and starts but brighton did us a favor by scoring when they did ?? it given us a big shake up we needed to come out a play with plenty of time on the clock and no need to panic GOOD OLD PEP when the coat comes off you bet he means business ?? and i think if we did not score twice before halftime pep would have been on fire in the dressing room

its not just about today the icing on the cake ?? its the whole season manchester city did us all proud and now maybe the media and all the pundits will have to say we are the best and you will be hard pushed to see anything like what manchester city have done in the last 2 seasons and still could be another cup to show off

How many serious saves (not weak shots from far out that were straight at him) did Eddy have to make today? I'm struggling to remember any. The goal, maybe?

My sister died in 2006 aged 27 , she was a blue and didn’t get to see any of this !

She wouldn’t of believed it

Respect to you both
Enjoy the moment mate. Lost my dad five years ago and days like today I miss him more than ever. They will be smiling down on us all today.

You’re still a miserable sod though ;)

I lost my dad 3 years ago, luckily one of my last memories with him before he got sick was the 2012 QPR game that we watched together. Days like today make me so glad he made me a blue as opposed to the scum I could have so easily become!

Back to back titles.. didn't think I'd ever see the day City lifted one let alone do something that hasn't been done for a decade!

Well, thank fuck that's over.

What an achievement. I don't think that will be bettered.

Off the back of a World Cup year, where most of our squad were involved; fighting hard on four fronts up to the CL Q-final; long term injuries to our best players; disparate officiating and a serious title challenger to contend with.

Do you honestly think we will get the credit we deserve?

Will we fuck.

Do I care?

Fuck em.

Well, we've proven that the high 90s is our 'normal' points total, even with all the injury issues this season - Liverpool's 97 pts could well be an anomaly, especially given all the good luck they've had this season (ref decisions, goalie malfunctions, lucky goals, etc.). We might see them return to their 'normal' points total next time, which is more likely in the 80 - 85 pts range.
