Somehow I compare it to the Wenger situation
Took more than one poor season for Arsenal fans to turn on Wenger though. It's a piss poor season in the context of the last 13/14 years, but how quick some of our fans are turning on our greatest ever manager and maybe the best ever manager is ridiculous. Not saying you are personally, but there are some.

Another 90 minutes of football played by 11 players whom don’t seem to know how to defend and have zero game plan other than fuck around with the ball for 90 minutes and see what happens

I think that is 16 points dropped from a winning position any other manager would coach the team to make us harder to beat but not ours and Dias needs to be gone also in the summer

Feels like every game just putting out a squad and hoping they put in a performance like seasons gone by. Not awful by a long stretch but not very good either.

Well nothing last forever. The trick is to pick the best time to evolve/move on. Very difficult for us with Pep, or indeed for the Arse with Wenger!!

Im not one for getting rid of Pep now, but there are concerns. Whatever has gone on, Pep’s divorce, the charges, Txiki leaving, something has changed in the last 18 months. Viana has a big job on and may need to challenge Pep/or say no to silly ideas (like having zero legitimate fullbacks at the club) because Rico can play inverted fullback (which he cant). Interesting times ahead. We cant fix all of the issues in one transfer window, thats for sure!!

Ah well, one point is better than no point but Brighton will probably be going home thinking they should have taken all three. Thank the Lord their finishing was as woeful as our passing. Today must have been our lowest ever pass completion rate.
It's a little disappointing that they were more composed on the ball, that they moved forward more fluidly and had more creativity.
Hard to see where we go from here really, it will be a struggle for top 4.

Then, assuming they finish outside top 5 (which spurs and united will), the winners will also go into CL alongside the PL top 5.
Nightmare scenario for next season is us ending up in the Europa League or worse the Europa Conference, and the
Rags in the Champions league by winning the Europa League

Its more annoying because he scored a bucket load of goals doing exactly that, moving to the front post.Don`t know why its stopped ?
Because going or staying at the back drags defenders with him opening up the front for which ever winger is coming in, problem with that is both our wingers are absolutely shocking at shooting so it’s all a waste.
Both wide men need to go on their natural sides and get proper crosses in for him.

We’ve got two of the most dangerous looking wingers in the world but neither can cross or shoot. Make it make sense

Sadly I don't see Doku much different to Adama Troare. I expect his career to end up on a similar path in a few years. As much of handful they are, they're just not really good enough footballers to sustain a career at a real top club.

Savinho still has a lot of potential in my opinion.

Pep needs to change or Pep needs to go
I think he needs a few weeks off…..I’d get the assistant to manage the next couple games after the int break and give pep 4 weeks off to sort his head out. Hes had a horrible year on a personal level.

Get him back fresh for the run in….

Severe lack of coaching. We always used to improve players under Pep but last 2 seasons, can you honestly say anyone has improved.
A lack of a strong assistant is one area, our set piece coach still being employed, we just need better and fresher backroom staff with new ideas

Same shit a different day.
Our ability to switch off at the most crucial time is something else.
How many free headers at corners before the goal?
Don’t get me started on that freekick.
Ortega the statue.
It’s on his side ffs and he just stood still and watched it go in.
He ain’t a number one, I’m not even sure he’s good enough for a number two.
We were under pressure from minute one cos his distribution is mediocre.
The midfield don’t help him either, high up the pitch and static.
Next to no movement to receive the ball.
Thought Doku was our best player but the final ball was lacking again though I ain’t putting the blame entirely on him.
Where’s the players busting a gut to get in the box?
Brighton were doubling and sometimes trebling up on him.
So that means there’s players free, give him options and support.
Luckily we didn’t lose and if it wasn’t for shit finishing Brighton should’ve gone 3-2 up at the end.
Thought Bernardo made a difference coming on, offering control and not doing anything stupid.
Sadly went off injured.
If we could knock the bozo moments on the head and the drops in concentration we could actually build some pressure and some control.
The ref was fucking appalling too!!

Don’t you find this booking for keepers time wasting a waste of time? It’s always done in the dying minutes of a game. Seen to be done stuff, that’s about it.
Stat padding and pointless. It has zero effect on the game. It should have been at least before half time as it would have disadvantaged them more.

Also, their use of the 'tactical time-out' when we were knocking on the door leading up to half time. I'm almost certain their defender was given a snide signal to go down, and then proceeded to waste about 4 minutes, ruining our momentum and allowing them to get their breath back. Pretended to have done his hammy, and then came back from the dead, saw out the half and then miraculously made an appearance in the second half, playing the full 94 minutes.

Their manager was also in the face of the 4th official trying to get Savi sent off.

Shithouse club from top to bottom.

It is but no point worrying about that now. Could easily be we stumble into the top 5 and the rags don’t win it. Glad it’s the international break to be honest

Pep's tactics have always been based on possession and pressing. Given that we now cannot do either there is a need for a major re-think
I think he has a real problem moving forward. I would say it is 50 50 that we don't get CL football. If that happens we will encounter recruitment issues which are already out the door in terms of scope. This competition in June while an economic lifeline for us will negatively impact preparations for the new season.

This feels very different from Peps first season, when despite struggling, one sensed that progress would be possible in due course. I am not sure what Pep 2.0 looks like and worryingly, I am not sure he does either.

I would love to know what Pep thought he would get from Gundo pressing so high without the ability to get back.

Rico was having a nightmare of a game doing the inverted role and the whole thing simply wasn’t working. Yet he stuck with it for the full duration of the game.

We basically watched Nico all by himself getting out numbered.

Does anyone else other then Pep believe Gundo is the right man to do that role.

In all my years of watching football I can't remember a single player beating his marker as many times as Doku without actually providing an assist or a shot on goal.
But prior to these last few years you saw a right footed winger on the right and vice-versa.

Doku is such a tricky player and has great pace, his left foot is just average though and that's why his delivery sometimes lets him down. It's the same with Savinho also.

The opposition double up on our wingers forcing them outside and i just think the team would be so much better if we stopped using these inverted wingers.
