Walk out the train station. Walk down towards the sea and there will be pubs full of blues on the way down. I think there’s a big Spoons on the right.

But instead of that Brighton has got loads of great proper pubs, bars, breweries and places to eat. Have a walk round The Lanes and along the sea front too.

If you’ve seen Quadrophenia you can also seek out the back alley Phil Daniels rattles Lesley Ashe or the cafe that has its windows put through.

Beat me to it, Lewes is far better as a stop-off than Brighton centre.

Mountfield Road car park. Past the station left at roundabout and on your right. Next Lewes FC ground but they are away so be OK.
