Brighton (h) post-match thread

Dominated the game but in these tight ones (stating the obvious) we need a regular striker up front.

I don’t know who is out of contract/on the loan market but it might be worth taking a gamble this window (unlikely I know)

Edin, anyone?!
We missed the bus with Cavani for a season imho

3 points is all that matters and pep in his post press conference saying that will keep our feet firmly on the ground after the praise of beating Chelsea and the scum! Difference in them games were we played quicker and were more clinical! Seems when we play a team we should beat comfortably the players are less clinical.

Happy with the win. Great goal by Foden. Just based on his energy, pace and magic moments he produces, he should start every league game bar the occasional rest here and there.

The more I watch us, the more convinced I am that Rodri is the problem. The ball moves too slowly and he just doesn't appear to read the game well when the opposition has the ball. Defensively, he is no better better than Fernando and Javi Garcia. He was okay last year and shown some flashes but this season he has regressed. Of course, he wasn't the only one who didn't play well tonight but this level of performance has been the norm for Rodri this year.

The five minutes that Jesus and Zinchenko were on the left was a shit show.

Fair play to Brighton. They got away with throwing us around but they played with intelligence. It's a shame for them that they do not have a better striker at the club.

I know what you mean. The disappointment of continuous shit finishing can override the joy of an earlier single goal.

But after watching the highlights you’ll feel better.
I always do mate, I don’t suffer the same stress when I’m at the games.. Another great performance by Phil Foden, he’s shaping up to be world class ..

1. Thought they gave the penalty to Raz to boost his confidence, that failed miserably.
2. Has Bernardo ever beaten a man? Frustrating when he gets the ball on the wing and you know the only thing he is going to do is play it back down the line from where he came.
3. Mahrez, well, he's just Mahrez. We've had the one good game of the year out of him so we've another 11 months of his mediocrity to suffer.
4. Apart from that, difficult playing conditions (you could see the water coming up) and a bit lethargic which is understandable. Ten men behind the ball will be the consistent factor of our next half dozen games.
5. Oh yeah, mcfuckingpointybastard. Man of the match is Foden but I'll change my mind and give it to a Brighton player if they score. Fuck off you scouse twat!
