One of those games when we really need to take our early chances. With the next fixtures in mind, we'll ideally be able to get ahead and then rest any of Walker/Delph/Fernandinho/Silva/Aguero.

I travel from Warrington as well - even before the latest roadworks it was a horror show. Tried the M62, M60 and M56 and they’re all just as bad as each other. Last season we’d leave at 5.30 for night games and regularly struggle to make kick off. Thankfully I have a job where I can be a bit liberal with the time I finish otherwise I’d never make a night match.

It’s a f*cking joke and it must put a lot of people off going, especially midweek.

I'm setting off at 1.15 today and wondering if I will make kick off unless I find another route. Anyone know what the A34 is like on match days? I may do 56/60/A34.

Coming from North Worcestershire, midweek games are now a non starter unless I have half a day off work. For the life of me I do not understand starting M6 Roadworks between J13-J16 before finishing the roadworks between J16-J19. Then you have M5 J3-J1 and now the Roadworks in central Manchester.

For those struggling to the game from Warrington, surely the answer is to leave your car at Ladywell (Eccles) park & ride and take the Metroline tram all the way to/from the Etihad for less than a fiver.
