Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | Post Match Thread

I'm starting to dream of a Mancini type defence, where we actually soak up pressure and defend like a team.

We've spent millions on defence and can't defend as a group.

Its obvious that we can't defend a high line, yet here we are every fucking week for the last 40 odd games.

I keep thinking is it me, am I missing something? High line, no pace, get beat, but do the same the week later?...

I think the players know it to and it shows, no desire, completely pointless.

WTF.

Someone at the club needs to put their big boy pants on and have a word.
OR...

The fucking DoF says to Pep... what are the players you want? and goes and gets the best players out there. Money talks. Its exactly this complacency that put the rags in the shit even before The Pisscan left (and Liverpool in the 90's).

We look like Arsenal at the end of Wengers era... says it all.

Last shot on target was Haaland's goal according to one set of stats. 56 minutes without a shot on target.
This from a team that used to break scoring records on a regular basis.

A hungry Haaland is hungry as he sees a meal. At the moment (and last season) there is no food on the table. Literally the chefs are bumbling around in the kitchen prepping when they should be plating up. It’s a style thing.. we are slow and laboured. It’s dreadful.

Its that bad with Haaland the Kit man doesn't need to wash his kit

Takes Haaland with him?

He's scored 88 goals in 100 Premier League games and you think he's a problem??

How he's even scoring goals over the last year in this side I'll never know. Imagine how bad we'd be without his goals! We don't even play to his strengths ffs

Exactly

The fact he's already got 3 in 3 this season playing in this attack that create almost nothing is testament to how good he is.

Pep is the greatest manager we have ever had . So i am annoyed but i am going to keep faith . I still think we need a RB and should never let grealish go or KDB
I honestly dnt think current KDB or Grealish are the x factors that could get us back to our best. Complacency is what creates these problems squad issues in the first place

Game of two halves. Total control first half. 2nd half their manager makes a load of positive changes early to change momentum. Us? Do nothing until it’s too late.
We were shite in the first half as well

Get baldy gone now. No in game tactics. I quite liked the lineup but if you are instructing them to attack as slowly as possible and letting every man back then I don’t know how we are confused that we don’t score enough. Seen enough and had enough. We lose and play absolute shite. Nowhere near good enough

Rodri: “Some of the mistakes we are doing are kids mistakes, you are not concentrating and paying attention…”

I will get hate for this.. I hate to say it, but I’m seeing parallels with utd. Two managers with insanely expensive squads who can’t get a tune out of the players. We have an equally soft underbelly and a fragility. The football we’re playing is unbelievably turgid, I can’t remember the last time I was excited by watching us. We’ve seen Grealish leave and get four assists in two games for a shit team so he obviously has the quality, definitely more than Doku. Something feels rotten

Trafford was very good. Khusanov solid and had invaluable pace. Rodri is back. A few positives
