Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | Post Match Thread

will be interesting what pep does with RB spot. he didnt start Nunes vs Wolves and Spurs but now got him starting and straightaway he gives away a pen because his hands are up in the air vs a cross he should have expected to be made.
and last derby at Etihad where Nunes did his brainfuck error of course which then turned a 1-0 lead into a loss. same as today game.
That one today was on a different level, though.

He first made a move toward the ball when it was on its way to the attacker. You'd have thought that would have sharpened his mind 'don't do it, don't do it ....' but no, not Nunes.

Ferguson beat that team into the ground. RVP won them the league and he got everything he needed to win it out of all the 30+ year olds. They all left after Fergie's final arrogant hurrah and the club has been in shit state ever since.
The rags blamed Moyes but he had little to work with.

He’s a fucking moron.

Make Rodri ‘Team’ Captain immediately. Bernardo is not a leader, he’s great when speaking to the media, but not sure he’s a leader on the pitch
I love bernie,we all do, but he's no captain is he. It's questionable as to whether he should even be starting games these days. This season he's looked so slow, lost the ball more than he has in his previous 10 years here, and probably leads the charts for most fouls given away. He's a shadow of the player who used to run around and hound in those Liverpool games sadly.

Very depressing in here tonight. The game was awful and I can't see anything different to last season.

Has anyone been calling people out as 'fanny wipes' yet? That's the normal response on here to negative posts about the team, or the manager

Great question. And I have no idea on the answer.

Pep's love from all our fans is not in question, but no manager of Manchester City should be given a free pass and a Bad result should be questioned and rightly so,

In fact, it's not the bad result, but the lack of options and changes that are clearly not there at the club
From last season to now, nothing has changed and we fall apart when teams attack us, Something is not right and based on results so far, do we really see any progress

Pep could relegate us and he'd still have my support. The guy who's done so much for us, continues to do so much for us. A little respect and support from a section of our fans when facing relative adversity wouldn't go amiss.
So you'd be happy for us to go down with Pep at the helm? Lol

Don't think our owners will be liking this post!!!

That reckless tackle was hardly leading by example, was it?

The worrying thing for me and it goes back to last season is that we always seem stuck in second gear, almost like it's the only gear we have for the entire game. We can't or won't up the tempo, put teams under concerted pressure until they cave in anymore.

It's incredibly conservative from an attacking point of view, which you would think would lead to defensive solidity but the opposite is true, tactically we seem a mess.

We are hoofing it long more than anytime under Pep, yet we have Haaland completely isolated from the rest of the forwards/midfielders I haven't a clue what we are trying to do tbh.

Just remembered that Welbeck and Milner both played in the Sick Swan. That was in 2011 ! We should be beating opposition teams fielding players of that vintage without any sense of entitlement.
