Today will probably end with us breaking that record for most consecutive defeats under Pep but let's not try to read too much into it. It's not like we're playing our strongest team in routine games and fucking them up - we're down to the bare bones and we've had four tough consecutive away games. We wouldn't be anywhere near four defeats if we'd had a more favourable draw in the League Cup (a shame we didn't play a League One team at home instead of a Big Six club away) and if literally any of our first team had been fully fit. The injury situation is worse than I've ever seen it. Last season there was all sorts made of us having our "worst record after 17 games under Guardiola" but then we won the league, so the stat was forgotten about. Four defeats is just four defeats. It's not representative of anything outside of the four games we'll have just lost. There's a long, long way to go and lots of players to come back and make a difference. Just get through Brighton without more injuries and get ready for Spurs in two weeks.

i dont see how a big strapping youth player is a worse option that an aging slow lad who played virtually every game this season and is probably knackered

Fuck it really hits home the lack of recruitment over the last few seasons. That team will do well to come away with anything tonight.

Fallen so far from the top quality players we used to have.
It was only a couple of seasons ago we had two full internationals for every position. Now we don’t have two players for every position. The chequebook needs to come out.

It is surprising that Gundo still starts.
As usual, every time we lose the ball, we will probably get counter-attacked.
