Bring the Noise

It was a weird one last night. I only found out I could go last minute so ended up in SSL3. The noise was the best I’ve heard for ages, but when you looked around it was packed with half and half scarfed- and obviously not city- fans. Loads of young lads of differing nationalities flooding in up to the 25th minute mark not knowing where they were sitting, blocking everyone’s views, unable to understand what you were saying to them when they poked you and pointed to their phone ticket. Then loads in the second half - whilst the match was fully going on - standing right in front of people’s views and taking selfie after selfie and not giving a shit when Manchesters finest told them to bugger off. Not for me anymore I think in the chumps league. Was loud though so there must have been some city fans in there
 
Two old people sat on the stairs in SS3 because they cba to find their seats coming in late didn’t speak a word of English.

Madrid fans filming the penalty and zooming in on players, told one and he said he supports both teams lol! Bollocks. Then had the cheek to say if you don’t like it move!! Luckily he got told to shut up by a few around me should of pushed the **** down the stairs

Recency bias much ?

Amy number of games from 10, 15, 20 years ago were louder

Hamburg and the 1-0 rags Vinny header game are two obvious ones that spring to mind

Perhaps some recency bias but it was a massive improvement on recent seasons. 20 mins is only 20 mins but had we scored first it would have got even better.
 
It’s not always easy at Wembley, but it has to be bouncing on Sunday. We are capable of doing it as well.

For me the songs that work the best at Wembley are the classics or simple chants that are easy to join in with.

Cup semi last season was very very good, almost like we had a point to prove given we never sold out, let’s hope for a similar siege like mentality from the fans this weekend, could’ve done with a few of our recent new ish songs proper catching on like follow you everywhere did, I always feel when momentum on & off the pitch is aligned songs take off much better, right now both are stuttering. Not one for song sheets but 1894 could maybe push a few of the recent efforts, which have been better than decent

I don't think we sang much in the Vinny game it was more urging them on...the first game of the new south stand 3rd tier opening against Chelsea was LOUD, my ears were actually ringing, i was in south stand level 1

Yeah the Vinny game was similar in that respect to the dippers 2-1 in 2019, the whole crowd seemed to live and breathe every moment of it.

But after the final whistle went in the Vinny game the noise as we sang songs in celebration was spine tingling
 
Gotta be loud on Sunday, build an atmosphere before kick off like we did on Tues and the team will start fast. Try and get into seats 15 mins before kick off
